[Ed is going to make sure this is private before approaching Tony on the subject, no sense just throwing it all over the network if he's trying to keep people from finding out still.

He doesn't look too impressed with his brother putting his information out there, but with everything they had planned coming up, he was probably going to need a decent mechanic sooner rather than later.]

My brother told me he informed you about my automail. He said you might be able to help, to get in touch with you whenever...

If the offer still stands, you should probably take a look to make sure it's something you can work with before I actually need any repairs.

[It's kind of late by the time she calls him, but she's pretty sure he'll be awake.] Hey, you got time to talk?

[Really, after her text conversation with Steve she couldn't leave it alone. If he'd managed to get it out of her then she couldn't really justify not telling Tony. She's sitting at the desk in her room, feet up on the table so her body lilts at an odd angle as she looks at the screen.]

[Tony is indeed not sleeping. As the video flicks on, it reveals a largely empty space that will eventually become his workshop. His face comes into view a moment later, not looking particularly tired despite the time.]

[ Cisco doesn't text Tony back for the first few days after people start getting their memories returned to them. A lot has been happening on his end. But after three days have passed, he is scrolling his inbox and sees an old conversation with Tony, and decides abruptly that it is time to check in. ]

[Her voice comes strained, and probably echoes a little oddly as she calls Tony amidst sprinting down the stairwell.]

[It sounds distant and distracted right up until Tony registers the strain in her voice. Suddenly his own becomes a whole lot sharper.]

[ Cisco is feeling particularly proud of a bit of work that he'd done on the gauntlets he's building. It's a risk, and he knows it, because if anyone could look at them and tell they were meant for channeling superpowers, it's Tony. But he doesn't have to say they're for him...

So he snaps a couple of pictures - one from far away but mostly loving close ups of the joints and wires and intricate pieces that he'd put in to help him modulate and channel his vibe blasts. ]

[After the conversation over the network, Steve, true to his word, does show up at the warehouse. It's actually in the evening when he finally does knock, wondering if an AI will answer the door and tell him Tony is busy at the moment and he wasted his trip. It's later than he planned on visiting, but without knowing all that much about this Tony Stark, coming still feels like an invasion of space. Maybe it is.

He waits.]

[The door does agreeably swing open under Steve's hand, but warning aside, Tony himself glances up from where he's perched on the edge of one of his worktables. He smiles faintly and gives a small little wave as he slides to his feet. ]

Hey, you made it. So first off, meet JARVIS.

[Sam has a quiet word with JARVIS a few days prior to Valentine's day, instructing the AI to make sure that Tony's actually presentable and not elbow-deep in grease when he comes by that night. Sam's not going for formal, just a nice date - he's got a sport coat on over a button-down shirt and a nice pair of jeans. Casual, but not too casual, and easy enough to relax in later on. And certainly not mentioning anything about a date or what day it is.

He turns up at the workshop about fifteen minutes early, hands shoved in his pockets as he leans against the wall.]

Hey, you get my message from JARVIS?

[Tony looks a little distracted by something on his monitors, though he waves vaguely in Sam's direction.]

Hey. I-- [he cuts off sharply as everything in front of him very abruptly shuts down. Tony blinks once, then turns to aim a look in Sam's direction.] ...apparently so.

[Which is about when he actually notices what Sam is wearing. So this clearly isn't just a 'Tony's working too much' thing.

It's entirely possible that Tony wasn't really listening to JARVIS earlier. He hasn't been doing anything particularly strenuous, though, and he does look pretty decent.]

[The phone call starts off very abruptly, with no greeting, just a few words, though it's pretty clear who is calling.]

You. How close are you to finishing those braces?

[Beneath the usual gruffness, there's the excitement and hope of a teenager whose been told his whole life he would never be able to walk. He knows Stark already, the Tony who was his roommate having made him several wonderful toys. So he knows that this will turn out good.]

[ Frankly, it's a miracle Steve could pilot it successfully. He'd been effectively crushed inside like an old car heading for the scrap yard. Clearly debris wasn't the only thing making piloting difficult. ]

[Tony sounds a bit distracted when he calls back, but that's nothing new. He also sounds slightly amused.]
