Asgard was destroyed. [The more he says it, the more difficult it is to pretend it was just a bad dream.]

The people we rescued are all we have left of it.

[Tony's mouth opens and then closes again. He might have said something snappy, but that kind of thing is one of his worst fears, and thanks to this fucked-up place, he's pretty sure Thor knows is now.]

Right, okay. At least you've got that.

Mmm. [Thor hums, but he's tired of reliving it. He knows Tony understands the gravity of the situation, so he feels no guilt in digressing into a joke.]

Well, I'm a king now. I hope you remember how to kneel.

[Okay, no chance Thor is going to get the joke, but it's like a reflex, Tony can't help it. He smiles faintly anyway.]

Should we be addressing you as your majesty?

I think it's probably for the best. I've told everyone I'm kind of a big deal back on Earth, and while I absolutely am, it would be nice if you played along.

What, being an Avenger isn't big deal enough for you?

[Though alright, being a king is probably cooler. Tony can admit that. Thor can bond with T'Challa or something if they all ever get home.]
