[ If Cisco forgot the last ten years of his life he would have been an actual teenager. Like a young teenager. He'd been building a little bit towards asking why Tony had acted so rude, but if he'd lost that much, Cisco can hardly blame him. ]

from what i've heard it was about half and half
half people losing entire chunks of time, half people just forgetting how to tie their shoes or that their cousin ruth died or whatever

didn't even realize i had forgotten anything.

[ If Tony wasn't interested in reliving it, he probably doesn't want to talk about it. But Tony probably remembers their brief exchange, and Cisco figures it's better to clear the air now rather than waiting. ]

so that was true? you designed weapons?

[There's a long pause before an answer comes.]

I did, yes. My company was a defense contractor.

and i'm guessing all this was pre-superhero days?

[ Tony hadn't recognized Cisco's little joke on his superhero name, or seemed to know about his suit. ]

Somewhat literally. The end of one and the beginning of the other coincided.

[ He's curious - of course he is - but Cisco tries to treat Tony the way he would want to be. He's sure that his changed behavior had caught some people's attention, but he's not exactly up to explaining why he'd been so giddy all week. ]

[ Cisco texts along the name of a bar, it's address, and a time to meet - in an hour. That ought to give Tony some time to wrap up anything he needs to, and Cisco time to get ready. ]
