The man put a device to act as Thor's eye. As a gift.

[Okay, actually that does kind of sound like something he'd do. If he had slightly less self-control. And that's saying something.]

[ Nnngh. From what he knows of the other man, Loki finds it hard to believe it is merely just a gift. ]

A gift that is artificially inserted into someone's body. Even you can't be comfortable with that.

Uh. As someone with quite a bit of experience with that, I was comfortable with it for a while.

[Sort of. It's complicated.]

It's just a bionic eye or whatever right?

[ Not the same thing. Though Loki is aware of his complications. ]

What makes you think it would be anything else?

Then perhaps it's worth a look.

[ But Loki falls silent. It seems instinctual than anything, but Loki gets the sense that Stark (the other one) would do whatever is necessary. Loki doesn't doubt that he is friends with Thor. But he also doesn't doubt that should Thor step out of line, friendship might not be enough. ]

You can barely "cahoot" with your team. I have a hard time believing you'd manage it with your other self.

You didn't say why you're so suspicious in the first place.

But not inaccurate.

[ A pause as Loki works on what he'd like to say. Thor is all he has left now. But he chafes against expressing such sentiment. He trusts his instincts, even if his choices are not the best. His read of people is hardly faulty. ]

It is a feeling. I do not think it is far off to be paranoid about mechanical eyes inserted into one's body.

I guess it depends on if he wanted the eye in the first place.

[Assistive tech? Fine. Unasked for assistive tech? ...slightly weirder. But it is a Stark they're talking about, even if it's one Tony's never quite sure if he understands.]

Thor wouldn't have asked for an eye. Our father did not have both either.

Okay but that...doesn't mean he can't want to see clearly.

How does he feel about it?

[Tony's reasonably sure that if Thor had any objections, he would have made them pretty clearly. But he might be trying to make a point here.]
