[He absently claps Dorian on the shoulder as he turns to go put the tools away.]

[Tony would rather not remember that, honestly, but since it doesn't seem like he has much of a choice he just sighs.]

Yeah. He's War Machine now, splits his time between the Air Force and the Avengers.

[It's not quite ten minutes before Tony arrives, but it's not instantaneous, either. Taking the armor is probably overkill.

But he seems relaxed enough that he makes his way over, flicking a grin at Strange as he settles across from him.]

[ He honestly doesn't expect anything less from Tony, at this point. But he can at least smile at the other man when he finally gets there. Nodding, ]

Yeah. I'm buying.

[ Might as well. He can't take the money with him. ]

[Tony's eyebrows lift in surprise, and he gives Strange a slightly more searching look as he settles. So this isn't just a pleasantries thing.]

Fancy. So what's up?

[Alright, it's official. He's from the darkest timeline. He is perfectly justified in being a sad sack because his life really does suck.

There's a heavy sigh before he just hangs up. Time to get a drink.]

[There's a brief pause where Tony just stares at the phone before he sighs and fires off a text.]

[ Steve "calls" Tony before heading out. He's in no rush, though. The walk there gives him time to get a sense of this literally alien city. It's truly incredible the lengths to which technology has grown. It's every cheesy movie come to life around him.

Although, that being said, what he's truly excited to see is this warehouse full of one man's technology—a technology that far surpasses what the best minds in the US military have engineered. ]
